Luvy's Bravery - A Short Story

Luvy was a careless deer. His mother Harani was so scared that Luvy will fall in big trouble .So she took him to his uncle Hariraj.

"Brother, Luvy has become very careless and I thought that your knowledge would help him."

"Sure sister" .

Luvy stayed with his uncle from that day onwards. Luvy got up early in morning and learned new tricks every day. When Luvy had learned all the tricks it was time to go home. So Hariraj took him to his mother.

"Thankyou brother - Now luvy can take care of him self"

The next day luvy and his friend Sury were playing. Suddenly Luvy’s leg got caught in a hunters trap. Sury ran towards Harani. "Luvy’s trapped, Help!!" .

Harani ran to Hariraj. "Brother - Luvy’s trapped. We have to help"

"Dont panic sister. now is the time to test his skils." They went to the place where luvy was trapped . Luvy was thinking what he should do. He remembered uncle asking him to lay still and stiff as if he was dead. So that is what he did. When the hunter Balu came he said "oh! What a nice deer I have trapped .oops like he’s dead" - the hunter removed the trap . "oh this deer must have been dead for long. I should cook it before it gets spoilt ".

When the hunter went to pick up some woods, Luvy jumped up and ran to safety.

My Favorite Subject

English is my favorite subject. I like to study English. I like English because it is easy to read and write. From first standard onwards, I had English texts and notebooks. But when I came to higher classes, English was really tough. Still, I like English. My English teacher's name is Miss Deepa. English is very interesting. There are three English books - course book, work book and literature book. All the subjects are fun. But English is the most fun. They believe Maths is the king of subjects, but I say English is the King of Subjects.

When I grow up

When I grow up, I want to be a Pilot. Some pilots fly passenger planes and some fly fighter planes. I like both. Pilots have to do a lot of hard work. They wont be able to sleep every night. They need to be very careful when flying the plane.

If I want to be a pilot, I should not ruin my eyes. For that, I should not watch TV or computer for more than two hours a day. I should also not look at the sun for even a minute. We should lot of vegetables, like carrots, for our eyes to be sharp.

If I cannot be a pilot, I would like to be a forest officer. Forest officers protect forests and animals. Sometimes, some animals attack us. But still we should not hurt them. Forest officers have to buy and store food and other important things, because they cannot go shopping all the time. If some animal needs help at night, the forest officer has to get a flashlight and go out to help the hurt animal. So he has to be very brave.

Whether I want to be a pilot or a forest officer, I need to study well and get good marks. I should also play and exercise and look after my health.
